ground pizza

i bought a slice of pizza today for lunch with the very (VERY) little money i had and it got knocked on the ground.cheese side down.i struggled with the decision of whether or not to do a tiny dust off and devour it anyway or just come to the sad conclusion that pizza was simply just not meant to be for me at the moment.



naturally,i ate it.now i can't decide if this makes me even more of a pizza lorde or more like george costanza.do i walk tall with pizza pride or hang my head in shame?

years ago on myspace i used to do a weekly art blog post and i feel like i should start bringing that back on a regular basis again.

so i'm going to try to do an art post of stuff i dig every thursday again.hopefully i will remember to stick to it.

d*face has a new exhibit in london so that was an easy inspiration for this week.i've always been a huge fan of lichtenstein so it's natural that i'd be super into d*face's lichtenstein meets decay asthetic.

my roommate and a few of my friends have this awful ritual of glitterbombing people on birthdays and holidays.i loathe it and adhere to a strict no glitter rule on my birthday.they're obsessed with glitter to possibly unhealthy levels. this video made me laugh and reminded me of them-if it really existed i wouldn't doubt they'd have already bought some.

i saw the great gatsby this weekend.if you can get past leonardo dicaprio's all over the place accent and the soundtrack by jay-z (sorry baz luhrman,that wasn't a typo.it said the "JAZZ AGE" NOT the jay-z age) it's pretty damn good.it's visually stunning.

it's interesting that i kept drawing parallels between the decadence of the gatsby universe and the days of andy warhol's factory parties.i think it had something to do with carey mulligan's portrayal of daisy reminding me a lot of edie sedgwick.

and for some reason i thought the actor who played tom buchanan looked like conan o'brien.
