completely out of nowhere today i have had "magic" by olivia newton john stuck in my head.don't know where the hell it popped in from but it is majorly stuck.
because that's been stuck it's gotten me thinking on a few things.
for starters-i'm assuming everyone involved in the film xanadu self-dosed themselves with quaaluudes or something. i mean how else could that movie have been made? and in particular i'm talking about gene kelly cause really,what the fuck is he doing in THAT movie???
another thing it got me thinking about was the beaver trilogy.
one night in portland about 7 years ago (or at least around that time) i was at a found footage night at the old blackbird venue.we had no idea what we were about to see.a suprise mystery feature.we were floored.
i've talked about the beaver trilogy for a loooong time with a lot of people and most people have never heard of it,let alone seen it. which is a damn shame as it is AMAZING.
so with olivia newton john stuck in my head today and all of my talking about this lost footage over all these years i figured i'd try looking it up once again.
this time i was in luck....while i wasn't able to find the entirety of the trilogy i was able to find a few clips.

apparently you can now buy the beaver trilogy from filmmaker trent harris's site. i'm thinking i might just have to buy it soon and have a special screening some night at my apartment.
